I just wanted to know why this plugin has been neglected? It does not work with the latest Wordpress version and has not been updated for the last 3 years? Why is this?
I added this plugin to my website and it does exactly what I want it to do, but it broke the site because it is out of date. I was looking for a plugin where I can display files on the front end of the website and where users can upload their own files into folders on the front end.
Will this be updated and if not, can anyone suggest an alternative way or plugin that will do the same thing as the File Away Plug did?

I've used this plugin in many websites and it has been flawless. I wish someone will take over this plugin and continues updating it. I am sure many people like me will pay for it too.

File Away is quite fast, versatile, complete and very robust.
A very good extension that works without any problem for listing, download and upload files.
Better, it is free and has a good forum for help.
