Noshi-Kanamer is a
WordPress pre-launch checklist & client handoff toolkit built for freelancers and
agencies, whether you hand-code, use a page builder, or build with AI. It auto-detects
the things that are easy to leave behind: WP_DEBUG, noindex, test content, and the
default admin username, then generates a shareable report summarizing your pre-launch
checks.

checklist. Hide Blocks, Block Showcase, Test Posts, Media Manager, and Site Check
support you while you build. Then Pre-Launch takes over. It checks the technical
loose ends that are easy to miss before handoff, including WP_DEBUG, noindex, and
debug.log. Unlike a manual checklist, it detects problems instead of just listing
them, then summarizes the completed checks in a copyable handoff report.
#### Block Showcase
Ever want to check how your available editor blocks look, all in one place? Insert
the Block Showcase block and click “Generate Showcase”: supported blocks you haven’t
hidden line up together so you can check appearance and consistency at a glance.
This gives you a shareable page for client review.
#### Hide Blocks
Hide blocks your client will not need, such as social links or YouTube embeds, from
the editor in one click. The setting applies globally to all users. Generate a `
functions.php` snippet during your handoff checklist and add it to your theme to
keep the block visibility settings after Noshi-Kanamer is removed.
#### Test Posts
Generate flagged test posts in one click to fill carousels or list blocks without
creating sample content by hand. Each test post is marked internally, so you can
delete all generated test posts before launch without touching unflagged posts.

have not been updated in 6+ months or 1+ year, bringing potentially unmaintained
plugins to the top before you start working on a client’s site.
#### Media Manager
Keep your media library clean while you build. Every image is scanned automatically:
* **“Possibly Unused” badge** — flags images not used in post content, featured
images, or supported ACF image and gallery fields
* **“Detected Usage” field** — shows which posts or pages reference an attachment
* **Bulk delete** — remove images with no detected references in one go, handy
for a final sweep before client handoff
#### Built However You Build It
Whether you hand-code it, build it with a page builder, or prompt an AI to do it,
the finish line looks the same: WP_DEBUG left on, noindex still set, test posts
left behind. AI can build what you ask for, but it cannot sign off on the launch.
That final check is still yours. Noshi-Kanamer helps you catch what any build method
can leave behind before handoff.
### Source Code
The compiled JavaScript in the `build/` directory is generated from the JSX source
files in `src/` using Vite. The full source code is included in the plugin package
under `src/`.

## Installation
#### Automatic Installation
1. Go to **Plugins > Add New** in your WordPress admin dashboard
2. Search for “Noshi-Kanamer”
3. Click **Install Now**, then **Activate**

## FAQ
### I just installed Noshi-Kanamer. Where do I start?
Look for **Noshi-Kanamer** in your WordPress admin sidebar. It opens with a quick
welcome guide pointing you to the right tab to start with.
### Can I use Noshi-Kanamer as a final check for an AI-built WordPress site?
Yes. AI site builders and vibe-coding sessions are great at generating pages, but
they do not automatically know which technical loose ends must be cleared before
launch. Noshi-Kanamer runs the launch checks that are easy to omit from an AI-assisted
build brief, including WP_DEBUG, noindex, debug.log, and test content, then generates
a shareable report summarizing your pre-launch checks.
### Will deleting test posts affect my real content?
No. Noshi-Kanamer marks each test post with a hidden flag. Only posts carrying that
flag are selected for deletion; unflagged posts are excluded.
### Does Hide Blocks affect all users or just me?
It applies globally to all users on the site, using the `allowed_block_types_all`
filter.
### What happens to my Hide Blocks settings when I deactivate or remove the plugin?
Use the Pre-Launch tab to generate a `functions.php` snippet beforehand. Paste it
into your theme and your block visibility settings remain permanent, even without
the plugin active.
### What does the Pre-Launch progress card actually show?
The Pre-Launch tab displays a live progress card (X of Y complete) and a sticky
Next Action card that surfaces the next unresolved item, with a direct link to the
fix for settings-based checks and clear next-step guidance for the rest.
### How does code-level noindex detection work?
Beyond the standard WordPress Reading Settings check, Noshi-Kanamer also inspects
the `wp_robots` filter output and, on hosts that support server-to-server loopback
requests, the actual rendered HTML `` tag. This can catch noindex
directives injected by your theme or an SEO plugin that a Reading Settings check
alone may miss.
### Why are some blocks missing from the Block Showcase?
Blocks exclusive to Full Site Editing (FSE), such as `core/template-part` and query
pagination blocks, cannot be rendered on standard pages or posts. Blocks you’ve
hidden with Hide Blocks, or that require a specific parent block, are also excluded.
Other supported blocks in the standard block editor are included.
### Does Block Showcase work with Elementor?
Block Showcase requires the Gutenberg block editor and is not compatible with Elementor.
When Elementor is active, pages are managed through the Elementor editor, which
does not support Gutenberg blocks. The other tools remain available alongside Elementor,
though Hide Blocks applies to Gutenberg blocks rather than Elementor widgets.
### Is this a developer tool or a client-facing plugin?
It is a developer tool for freelancers and agencies working on client WordPress
sites, from project setup through handoff. It is not intended for clients. We recommend
deactivating or removing it before handing off the site.
### Can I use this on every client project?
For most WordPress setups, yes. Pre-Launch Cleanup, Hide Blocks, and Test Posts
work across standard and FSE themes. Note that Block Showcase requires the Gutenberg
block editor and is not compatible with Elementor-powered pages. The other tools
remain available, though Hide Blocks applies to Gutenberg blocks rather than Elementor
widgets.
### What should I check before handing off a WordPress site to a client?
Noshi-Kanamer brings key WordPress handoff checks and cleanup tasks together across
the Pre-Launch and Media Manager tabs. The Pre-Launch tab handles test content,
rewrite rules, search engine indexing (noindex), WP_DEBUG, the admin email address,
and four security loose ends (file editor, XML-RPC, debug.log, the default admin
username), all in one screen. The Media Manager tab finds and removes images with
no detected references before client delivery. When the **“All pre-launch checks
are complete!”** banner appears, every item in the Pre-Launch tab has been cleared.
You can then include the report in your handoff documentation.
### When should I deactivate Noshi-Kanamer?
We recommend deactivating or removing it just before handoff to keep the client’s
dashboard clean. That said, you can always reactivate it later for maintenance,
post-launch adjustments, or follow-up work.
### Is there a plugin that checks if WP_DEBUG is left on before I launch?
Yes. The Pre-Launch tab automatically detects whether `WP_DEBUG` is still enabled
and provides a copy-paste fix for `wp-config.php`, alongside a check for a leftover`
debug.log` file (with one-click deletion).
### How do I find and delete unused media before client handoff?
The Media Manager tab scans your media library and flags images with no detected
references in post content, featured images, or supported ACF image and gallery
fields, then lets you bulk-delete them in one pass.
