Unofficial plugin to replicate the Google Maps shortcode function on WordPress.com sites. Useful for users who are migrating from WordPress.com to self hosted WordPress.org sites and want their maps to continue working. This feature is explained at http://en.support.wordpress.com/google-maps/
Main benefits include:
- Import your posts from WordPress.com without having to edit all your maps.
- Continue adding maps to posts the way you used to do it.
- Support for custom width and height settings.
Installation
- Upload
unofficial-wordpresscom-google-maps-shortcode.php
to the/wp-content/plugins/
directory - Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
- Use as if you’re using Google Maps in WordPress.com. See instructions at WordPress.com Google Maps page.
